Luke Harper and Anna MacDonald at the Iris Prize
Vision's Luke Harper and Anna MacDonald both have work at this year's Iris Prize, in the Best British Short category.
Goodbye Python, written and directed by Frankie Fox and shot by Luke Harper, follows the story of a computer scientist Kai. When the funding is cut from their grief healing program Kai is ordered to shut down Python, a conscious computing system. Guiding the computer to sleep Python runs the simulation on Kai against protocol, and they are forced to confront the person they need let go of the most.
You can also watch The Talent at this year's festival, written and directed by Thomas May Bailey and shot by Anna MacDonald. On the set of a luxury car commercial, an overlooked assistant seizes his chance to get noticed by the star....Filmed entirely on a Virtual Production Stage, The Talent is a lyrical meditation on masculinity and becoming.
Congratulations and good luck to both!
